        Adithya Institute of Technology celebrated its Annual Sports and Cultural Fest “UTSAV – 2K18”, on 16th & 17th March 2018.  On day 1, Dr. Chitra Manohar, CEO inaugurated and declared the sports meet open followed by the torch relay by the athletes. More than 37 sports and athletic events were conducted. Around 850 students participated with great energy and enthusiasm and more than 520 won prizes.

         Mr. A. Avinash, Coach, Tamil Nadu State Cricket Team, graced the occasion as a special guest and honoured the winners with certificates and medals. The final year students of the college bagged the overall championship in the sports and athletic events.

         On the 2nd day, 21 competitions were conducted to bring out the inherent talents and skills of the individuals. 795 participations were there from which 171 bagged various prizes. Mr.Daison, RJ, Suryan FM, entertained the gathering with his fun filled talk on “How to be happy” and shared his life experience. Dr. Chitra Manohar, CEO & Dr.Muthu, Principal gave away the prizes for the winners in the cultural competitions and academic performances. The faculty members were honoured with mementos in recognition of their ongoing commitment and dedicated services.

         Mr. R.Varadarajan, Vice Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) – Coimbatore Zone & Wholetime Director, Rajshree Sugars and Chemicals Limited graced the occasion in the evening as Chief Guest. Dr.Chitra Manohar, CEO welcomed the gathering and dedicated the day to Stephen Hawking, a famous physicist. Dr.Muthu, Principal read out the Annual report. Mr. R.Varadarajan, Chief Guest addressed the gathering by highlighting the importance of being strong in basic concepts and asked them to keep pace with the technological advancements. He gave away the prizes to the winners of various events and awards to the best out going students of departments and college. The overall trophy for the cultural competitions was bagged by the students of Mechanical Engineering.  

        Later in the evening the members of the Melodia Club of AIT entertained the gathering with light music which was followed by grand cultural performances of the students.
